Abstract:   Santropol Roulant, a 12-year-old intergenerational meals-on-wheels organization located in downtown Montreal, is a thriving community space that attracts people from all walks of life to work, volunteer, and create positive change in the world. This research project represents our first attempt to actively reach out to our family volunteers. We were curious to find out why they were attracted to volunteering, what they found most engaging about their experiences, and what we could do to make volunteering more accessible and meaningful for them.
