Position Details
Position: Next Leaders Network Trainer

At Vantage Point, our mission is to inspire and build leadership in the voluntary sector. As one way in which to achieve this mission, we recently launched a new program called the Next Leaders Network (NLN). The goal of the NLN is to connect young professionals working in the not-for-profit sector in order to build their networks, intentionally direct their careers and gain knowledge in order to perform their roles effectively and successfully.

We are currently developing our 2011 NLN professional development schedule, and are seeking applications from trainers who are interested in delivering a session to our members.

Time Commitment:
Estimated to be approximately 10-15 hours; between March and December 2011.

Deliverables:
-Develop a workshop for the Next Leaders Network, based on the criteria above
-Review the draft workshop design and objectives with program staff
-Revise, finalize, and deliver the workshop to NLN members

Skills and Experience: Qualifications:
-Experience in preparing and delivering training to adults
-Engaging presentation style and ability to facilitate highly interactive group discussion
-Specialized knowledge that is relevant and of high value to the next generation of not-for-profit leaders
-Clear communication skills – verbal and written
-Preference will be given to unique, innovative areas of expertise and / or facilitation approaches.
-For professional trainers or consultants: a clear understanding of conflict of interest boundaries and limitations of working in a volunteer training capacity
