| Position: |
Timeraiser Media & Awareness Leadership Volunteer |
| Organization: |
Framework Foundation, in collaboration with Vantage Point
|
| Mission Statement: |
“Getting involved in your community isn’t always easy, so we’ve made it simple for you to find relevant and meaningful opportunities that fit your busy lifestyle.”
Timeraiser is a comprehensive volunteer engagement process that makes it easier for individuals to find meaningful and relevant volunteer opportunities in their community. It also benefits non-profit and charitable organizations by connecting them with quality, skilled volunteers.
The Timeraiser is part volunteer fair, part silent art auction and part night on the town. It is an evening celebrating the kick-off of a long term endeavor to engage Canadians in their twenties and thirties to pick up a cause and support community development through volunteerism. The Timeraiser is a silent art auction with a twist: instead of bidding money, participants bid time to volunteer agencies that need their skills and energy. Check it out at www.timeraiser.ca
Once the evening ends and the art winners are announced, the action truly begins, as participants spend the next year fulfilling their volunteer pledge. |
