Description: |
Britannia's ever popular co-ed recreational World Micro Footie Soccer Program is back again! The Soccer Program serves as an introduction and development to the sport, emphasizing team play and game situation.
Come share your experience and be a mentor!
We are looking for dedicated volunteer Soccer Coaches to coach children and youth (age 4-15 yrs old) two times per week (on Saturday mornings and one weeknight) from April 24 - June 26, 2010. Games are held at Britannia Oval and Garden Park. A MANDATORY Coaches Orientation will take place on Saturday, March 26 and all coaches must attend.
Duties:
*Leading a team of 10-12 children or youth in soccer drills
*Supporting each player at games/tournaments.
*Making each child feel welcome and special.
*Setting a positive example.

Skills and Experience: |
Must believe in the philosophy of fair play, sportsmanship, access to all and fun while teaching the world's most popular sport.
No teaching experience required, but some soccer experience or love of soccer IS preferred. Training is provided.
IMPORTANT: Volunteers will need to complete a criminal record check and be cleared prior to volunteering. Please note that criminal record checks take about 3 weeks to process and must be completed and cleared BEFORE April 18, 2009.
