On Tuesday, March 9, it was announced that an astounding one million people are making an impact on their local communities by volunteering through the Give A Day. Get A Disney Day. program. The goal of inspiring one million people to serve was reached in less than ten weeks time. Thank you for your tremendous spirit, dedication and passion for civic change, and for helping make this program such an overwhelming success

Volunteers
Because of the wonderful volunteers that participated in the Give A Day. Get A Disney Day. program, nonprofit organizations have been able to meet critical needs, in communities across Canada, in areas such as education, environment and economy. And although the Give A Day. Get A Disney Day. program has ended and you can no longer earn a free Disney theme park ticket, through Volunteer Canada and govolunteer.ca, you can continue to find volunteer projects and programs that align your passion with real needs in your local community.

We hope that you will continue to volunteer with your local nonprofit or other organization. Search this site to find opportunities nearest you, or contact your local volunteer centre.

Organizations
The innovative nature of this program exponentially increased organizations' capacity to both invite and excite people about volunteerism. Many volunteers served for the first time, beginning what we hope will be a life-long service journey. We look forward to organizations carrying on the momentum of this program, reconnecting with volunteers, and accomplishing even more in your communities this year

Though the Give A Day. Get A Disney Day. program has come to an end, Volunteer Canada and govolunteer.ca can continue to connect you with volunteers in your area and resources for helping achieve your organizational mission, year round.
