Have you heard about the "Give a Day. Get a Disney Day." program?

Volunteers - Click here to learn how you can have a free day at a Disney park by volunteering in your community.

Organizations - Click here to learn how you can become a validating organization. By participating, your organization's volunteer postings can be searched by the 50,000 Canadians anticipated to register for the program in the next few months.

Interested in volunteering for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Games?

The Vancouver Organizing Committee is still accepting volunteer applications through their website.

Before you start your search...

Take some time to consider the kind of volunteer position you want.

•       What geographic location?
•       What are the skills, interests and experience that you would like to share?
•       What issues or causes are important to you?
•       What experience are you hoping to gain?
•       Would you like to work on your own or with other people?
•       How much time are you able to commit?
•       Do you want to volunteer close to work or in your community?
•       Looking for a short-term volunteer opportunity? Consider volunteering at a special event.

Knowing the answers to these questions will allow you to refine your search by using the advanced search option.  The advanced search option is also useful for finding positions appropriate for youth, ESL, people living with physical or developmental disabilities, groups and more. You may also choose to browse opportunities by activity or organization type.

What's Next?

Once you find an interesting volunteer opportunity, contact the organization directly. Ask to speak to the contact person listed in the body of the volunteer posting.
